About Laser Therapy

Shrewsbury Podiatry Clinics Bio-Flex Laser is a division of Meditech International, Canada.  Over the past 20 years Meditech has developed the Bio-Flex Laser Systems to the most advance and effective device available.

The laser therapy, also known as low-level laser or light therapy, is a treatment that utilises a combination of red and infra red light to restore normal cell structure and function by accelerating the natural healing process.  The laser targets damaged, diseased or inflamed areas to eliminate pain and promote healing for a variety of medical conditions.  Laser therapy does not heat or cut the tissue unlike high intensity lasers, therefore is pain free and non invasive with no known adverse effects.

How Does it Work?

Laser therapy, is a treatment that utilizes specific types of light to interact with tissue. It is used to eliminate pain, decrease inflammation and promote healing for a variety of medical conditions.

Many pharmacological treatments mask pain or only address the symptoms of the disease; laser Therapy actually treats the underlying condition or pathology to promote healing. This means that the treatments are effective and the benefits of laser therapy are long lasting.

Each treatment lasts between 15mins to one hour. Prices start from £26 a session if a course is booked. Please phone the clinic for more information on the laser or to book an appointment.
