Stephen Price
Stephen trained at the Mathew Boulton School of Podiatry in Birmingham and started his career in the NHS and private practise with a break from the NHS, when he worked for some time in London and Australia.
Stephen has recently retired from his NHS role as a Podiatry Service manager having completed 25 years’ service. He specialised in wound management and was instrumental in developing the provision of wound care to the local client base. In his management role he developed the community-based Foot Protection Team in accordance with NICE guidance and the national strategy to prevent foot ulceration in people who have diabetes.
Stephen has extensive experience of working with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, therapist, GP’s and Consultants based in a variety of settings. His scope of practise is quite broad and includes: nail surgery, biomechanics, vascular and neurological assessments and the provision of preventative podiatric treatments as well as routine podiatry.
Stephen is a keen gardener, play tennis and sing in the local community choir.
